Speaking to Sky Sports, Sane said [via Sport1]: "When we were together at City, he actually told me that he would be my coach one day. I just said: 'That won't happen!' Now it has happened - unfortunately. No, it was just a joke.
"I am very happy that he is now our coach and can work at such a top club. As a player, Vincent was an absolute leader - someone who sets the direction, who wants to see dominant, fast and courageous football. As a player, too, he always expected that from his teammates.
"Our time with him will be very good."
