Got nowhere near the ball across his area as Vargas finished. Flapped at a couple of deliveries but made more than one good save.

Jules Kounde (6/10):

More effective in the final third than his own. Sevilla had some joy down his flank, but he remains an assured operator with the ball.

Ronald Araujo (N/A):

Took a knock early on attempting a challenge and required treatment. Could not continue and was subbed for Cubarsi.

Inigo Martinez (7/10):

Picked up an assist for Lewandowski's goal with a fine header. Immediately skinned for the goal but recovered well.

Alejandro Balde (6/10):

Goal came down his side as he was caught flat-footed. Struggled to have too much impact for Barca in Sevilla's half.

Gavi (4/10):

Struggled through the first half and was booked. Subbed at half-time. Not a good performance.

Frenkie de Jong (5/10):

Subbed in the second half. Struggled with the physicality of Sevilla's midfield; as well as he can pass the ball, he is not a gnarled defensive midfielder.

Pedri (8/10):

Delightful ball in for Lopez to score. No fewer than five key passes. A staggeringly accurate midfield metronome who makes Barcelona tick.

Lamine Yamal (6/10):

So close to opening the scoring with an early volley. Always willing to get shots away but somewhat outshined by his attacking team-mates.

Robert Lewandowski (7/10):

Gave Barca the lead within seven minutes, poking in Martinez's header across goal. A constant thorn in Sevilla's side, holding the ball up well before his substitution.

Raphinha (9/10):

Fabulous delivery into the box that was headed across to Lewandowski. Scored a belter with a stunning long-range drive. Barcelona's best player.

Pau Cubarsi (7/10):

Replaced Araujo. Slotted in well and allowed Barca to maintain their defensive structure despite losing arguably their best centre-back.

Fermin Lopez (5/10):

Came on for Gavi at half-time and scored with his first-touch, sending a header into the bottom corner. Sent off for a wild lunge on Sow. An eventful evening.

Eric Garcia (7/10):

Replaced de Jong and scored a fine header, ghosting in at the back post to add a fourth for Barca.

Dani Olmo (6/10):

On for Lewandowski. Worked hard.

Gerard Martin (N/A):

Replaced Yamal late on.

Hansi Flick (7/10):

Got his Fermin sub spot on, even if he did then get sent off, and will have been delighted with his team's attacking fluency, as well as their solidity after going down to 10. Eric Garcia's goal was the icing on the cake.
