THE BIGGER PICTURE
Arsenal have now done the same to a bid from Premier League rivals Nottingham as per The Athletic. Forest, who have been looking to add some offensive output to their ranks, made an opening bid worth £25 million ($32.4m) including add-ons. However, the bid has been rejected by the Gunners as they expect a fee between £30-35 million ($38.9-45.5m) for the Hale End graduate.

DID YOU KNOW?
Having made his Arsenal debut in 2017, Nketiah has made a total of 168 appearances and has scored 38 goals in the meantime. The striker had also gone on loan to Leeds United in 2019, where he failed to impress before returning to the Emirates.
WHAT NEXT FOR NKETIAH?
Although Nottingham Forest have also been considering a move for Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord, Nketiah is currently their top priority, and they hope to sign him before the summer transfer window closes.
