Andre Onana in line for surprise transfer to new Premier League club as Man Utd close in on Senne Lammens

Andre Onana could leave Manchester United in a shock transfer this summer as one of their Premier League rivals are keen on signing the Cameroonian goalkeeper. The Red Devils are expected to remain busy in the final week of the summer transfer window as they are closing in on signing Belgian star Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp to bolster the goalkeeping position.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Lammens didn't feature in Royal Antwerp's Belgian Pro League win over Mechelen last Sunday as he was left out of the matchday squad. This move by the Belgian Pro League side further fuelled speculations that he is on his way to join United.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    If the Red Devils secure the transfer for Lammens, he could be the club's new No.1 and that means that one of Altay Bayindir or Andre Onana is likely to exit Old Trafford. Onana has been overlooked at the start of the 2025-26 campaign as Ruben Amorim fielded Bayindir against Arsenal and Fulham in their first two Premier League matches.

    According to United In Focus, Onana has attracted interest from West Ham, who are plotting a loan move for the Cameroon international. Graham Potter did sign Mads Hermansen this summer, but it seems the ex-Chelsea boss wants to further strengthen the goalkeeping position.
