All completed Inter Miami transfers in 2024 - listed

2023 was a thrilling and historic year for Inter Miami, as they secured their first piece of official silverware in the form of the 2023 Leagues Cup, inspired by the arrival of a certain Lionel Messi straight off the back of winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Arguably the most hyped move in Major League Soccer history, it brought unparalleled attention not only to David Beckham's co-owned side but to the entire league.

The Argentine star delivered plenty of summer drama, scoring 11 goals over a 12-game unbeaten streak to help lead Miami to the Leagues Cup title and a U.S. Open final appearance. The Herons, under new coach Tata Martino, went from a franchise unable to buy a victory to an invincible side that just could not stop winning at that point.

However, by failing to win any of their last six MLS matches, the Herons were swiftly eliminated from post-season contention, finishing second from bottom in the Eastern Conference standings and 27th overall, partly due to a raft of injuries to key players, including Messi.

Nevertheless, head coach Martino has already started looking ahead to the 2024 MLS season, with top transfer target and former Barcelona goal-machine Luis Suarez already snapped up from Brazilian side Gremio. With a full pre-season schedule and a steady flow of transfer rumours, expect some movement both ways at the DRV PNK Stadium in the weeks ahead.

GOAL has got you covered with all the completed Inter Miami transfers in the ongoing 2024 season below.

The Herons have added another superstar to the fold, or dare we say, another one of Messi's friends as he links up with yet another former Barcelona teammate at DRV PNK Stadium next season. Joining fellow former Camp Nou legends Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez has agreed a one-year deal with the MLS side, with the option of a further year.

The 36-year-old Uruguay star left Gremio after scoring 29 goals in 54 games for the Brazilian club and will look to add further firepower to Inter Miami's star-studded attack.

The Herons' have been in talks to sign Argentinos Juniors' 21-year-old midfield sensation Federico Redondo for more than a month and the parties are close to sealing the deal. According to various reports, Inter Miami will pay the Argentine side a transfer fee in the $5 million range.

    Departures primary transfer window

On the flip side, Inter Miami have continued to tweak their roster to make room for further new additions. Striker Josef Martinez’s contract option for 2024 was declined following the capture of Luis Suarez, as was the option for Jake LaCava, who played sparingly. Victor Ulloa is also out of contract and will not return to the team.

Center-back Kamal Miller has been traded to the Portland Timbers, with the 26-year-old set to play for his fourth different MLS club starting in the 2024 season, while Argentina giants River Plate have converted Leandro Gonzalez Pirez's loan deal into a permanent one.

Attacker Nicolás Stefanelli has been transferred to Fehervar FC in Hungary after only one season with the Herons, while 23-year-old winger Emerson Rodríguez joined Colombian top-flight side Millonarios FC on loan.

Brazilian midfielder Gregore has been sold to Brazilian Serie A side Botafogo for a sizeable fee, with Argentina Under-23 international Federico Redondo replacing him on the Miami roster.

In what was a shock move, DeAndre Yedlin has been traded to FC Cincinnati as they seek roster flexibility.
