Aaron Wan-Bissaka is holding up his move to West Ham with final demand to Man Utd

Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a departure from Manchester United with their Premier League rivals having shown a lot of interest in his services, alongside Inter Milan. It had been reported earlier that while West Ham are ready to meet the Red Devils' £18 million ($22.9m) valuation, they are unable to match Wan-Bissaka's wage demands and the 26-year-old is open to but not keen on leaving Old Trafford this summer.

The Sun has now reported that Wan-Bissaka is actively holding up the deal with West Ham. The England international's contract is set to end in less than 12 months and if he signs with a new club as a free agent he will 'bank a huge signing-on fee'. However, the 26-year-old is ready to leave the Red Devils if the club agrees to give him a chunk of the fee that they receive from the Hammers this summer.

Since his move from Crystal Palace five years ago, the defender has been on the same £90,000-a-week contract at United and he is keen to get a substantial increase in wages that West Ham are unable to provide. The Hammers have had a busy transfer window so far under new manager Julen Lopetegui, having spent more than £100 million ($127.7 million) this summer.

Manchester United will be keen to strike a deal for the departure of Wan-Bissaka as soon as possible as they are hoping to bring in Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui. Wan-Bissaka is also being courted by Inter Milan, and should the West Ham transfer fall through, he may sign a pre-contract with the Serie A champions in January.
