Former Zambia national team coach, George Lwandamina may take the place of Jose Fereira Marcelo at Gor Mahia.
Gor Mahia, who sit just a point behind leaders Tusker, are under caretaker coach, Zedekia 'Zico' Otieno, who replaced the Brazilian. Marcelo left K’Ogalo in a huff after tendering his resignation on June 15 for new an opportunity in Albania with FK Tirana.
But former Chipolopolo coach, Lwandamina, is now being linked with a move to K’Ogalo according to reports from Zambia. The Zambian is understood to be considering a move away from Tanzania side, Young Africans (Yanga) which is reportedly having problems paying foreign coaches according to www.zamfoot.com.
Before moving to Tanzania, Lwandamina led Zambian giants, Zesco United to a Caf Champions League semi-final. Zesco is home to Kenyan trio of midfielder Anthony Akumu, striker Jese Were and defender David Owino, who currently plies their trade in Zambian league.
Lwandamina, 54 is a former Zambian, who played for Mufulira Wanderers as a defender. He won the Zambian coach of the year Award in 2014 and 2015.
