Legendary Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Joseph 'Banks' Setlhodi says he doubts his former side's PSL title credentials.
“They are showing consistency, but if they want to win the league, they need to win all of their remaining games and I don’t think it’s possible. But in football nothing is impossible,” Setlhodi told Goal .
Setlhodi made a reference to current English Premier League log leaders Chelsea.
“Let me give you an example. Almost everybody said the Blues in England (Chelsea) have already won the league. So, they need to focus on next season.
“But if you look at the points tally now, they are in touching distance with the others teams in the race for the title,” he said.
“Chiefs' remaining games will be like a Cup finals because they cannot afford to lose especially in the league.
Amakhosi have gone 14 matches without a defeat, but Setlhodi is not yet convinced by the team's current impressive run.
“I’m still not convinced because there’s no winning combination at Chiefs. Sometimes they win at the last kick of the game or they score an early goal and struggle.
“They won 1-0 against Chippa (United) recently. There’s nothing convincing. Until I see a smooth sailing Kaizer Chiefs, then I will be convinced,” Setlhodi concluded.
