West Ham’s Noble hails Ayew's determination

Mark Noble has hailed Andre Ayew after his heroics helped West Ham stage a comeback victory over Tottenham in Wednesday's English League Cup encounter.

After going down to first half efforts from Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli, Ayew's goal ten minutes after the interval kick started a comeback for the Hammers.

And added a second in the 60th minute to draw the Hammers level before an Angelo Ogbonna 70th minute header ensured Slaven Bilic’s men passage to the next round of the league cup.

In his reaction to the win, Noble lauded the Ghana international's determination.

“We had a fantastic ball in from the corner [for Ogbonna’s goal], but the others, we’ve seen this from ‘Dre before,” Noble told club website.

“He knows where the ball is going to drop. They were two fantastic goals from him.

“He has had a bit of stick, this player, but he’s kept on grinding and he deserves that tonight.”
