Juventus have sent the Italy international to La Liga for the rest of the season after seeing a dire spell at London Stadium cut short

Valencia have completed the loan signing of Simone Zaza from Juventus and can make the move permanent at the end of the season.

The Italy international spent the first half of the season at West Ham after the Premier League club agreed a similar deal with the Serie A champions, but he endured a miserable spell in England and returned to Turin this month.

Valencia back Voro for the season

Zaza had been on the brink of linking up with Valencia earlier in the transfer window before Cesare Prandelli's shock departure saw talks put on hold.

But discussions resumed after Voro's installation as head coach until the end of the season and the 25-year-old arrives at a crucial time, as Valencia sit just four points above the relegation zone.

"Valencia Club de Futbol have completed the signing of Simone Zaza on loan from Juventus until the end of the season," read a statement from the LaLiga club.

"The player passed a medical with the club and signed his contract on Sunday. The agreement will see him become a Valencia CF player until the conclusion of the 2016/17 campaign, with an option to buy.

Pitarch resigns at Valencia

"The Italy international forward will be officially presented on Monday."

Zaza could make his debut in Saturday's derby match at Villarreal.
