Wenger plays down Alexis tantrum after Arsenal star reacts angrily to being subbed
Arsene Wenger insists there is no problem with Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean appeared to be annoyed with the manager’s decision to substitute him during the last 10 minutes of Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Swansea.
The Arsenal star has shown his frustrations in recent games, hurling his gloves on the floor after the 3-3 draw at Bournemouth and reacting in a similar manner after the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace a week before.
Sanchez, who scored the fourth goal for Arsenal, was replaced by Danny Welbeck on 79 minutes at the Liberty Stadium and was visibly frustrated at being brought off with several minutes still to go in the game, but Wenger says that he has no issue with the reaction of his star man.

"Alexis Sanchez is not injured, he just wanted to stay on the pitch. I did not want to take a gamble on him," said the Frenchman.
"We had players on the bench, we have strikers and competition. There was a good opportunity not to be stupid [by bringing him off].
"All the players are frustrated when they come off. There’s no problem there. The culture is different. Some South Americans are different from Europeans."
Contract speculation has surrounded Alexis over the past few months due to his deal with the Gunners expiring next summer and there has been the suggestion that the forward could be tempted by a move away from the club.
However, Goal understands that the club remain confident that their talisman will sign a new contract as talks continue between the player's representatives and Arsenal officials.
