Kano Pillars were lucky to draw Rivers United, says Kadiri Ikhana

Sai Masu Gida handler feels his side were fortunate to avoid defeat against the Pride of Rivers in Wednesday’s rescheduled clash in Port Harcourt

Kano Pillars head coach Kadiri Ikhana says his side were privileged to grab a point in a 1-1 draw against Rivers United in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

Godbless Asamoah’s early effort for Stanley Eguma’s men was canceled by Amos Gyang whose strike opened Sai Masu Gida’s goal account and point away from home in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League Week Seven match at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

“We played a very good team that is representing Nigeria in the Caf Champions League,” Ikhana said in his post-match conference.
