'We must not relax' - Ladan Bosso tasks FC Ifeanyi Ubah after Abia Warriors draw

FC Ifeanyi Ubah head coach Ladan Bosso has urged his side to remain at their best in every game after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Abia Warriors in Nnewi on Sunday.

Patrick Ikeokwu had put the hosts in front in the fifth minute but Obi Samson leveled matters for the visitors in the 67th minute to force a draw at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium.

Despite the mere setback with the weekend's result, the gaffer is confident they would get results on the road and can finish the first stanza of the season as high as possible.

"We were very close to winning the match but unfortunately we conceded at the moment in the game.," Bosso told Goal

"But there are a lot of positives for us. We played really better than our previous games this season and I'm quite happy with that.

"We have lost points here (in Nnewi), and the best way to remedy the situation will be to fight and recover them away from home.

"We've always strived to score in our away matches if we concede two goals, we fight back in getting at least a goal.

"We have only drawn one game at home this season, unlike Abia Warriors that just their first point away from home."

"We have picked some lessons from the match because we relaxed at some points during the game and that denied us the victory," he continued.

"To achieve anything meaningful this season as a team, we must not relax but always strive to finish it till the latter.

"We have the quality and experienced players to challenge top teams this season.

"If the team keeps improving with every match, then that is hope rising for us and by the end of the first round of this season, we will find ourselves in a good position."
