'We are no longer a prison' - Man Utd fans celebrate Schweinsteiger's return

The Germany international was back in Jose Mourinho's matchday squad for the first time this season, causing eruptions of delight from fans online

Bastian Schweinsteiger was named on the bench for Manchester United for the first time this season, causing fans online to question "is this real life?"

The Germany international had not made Jose Mourinho's matchday squad for a Premier League game in the current campaign, but was included for United's home game with West Ham United.

Schweinsteiger has played just 18 league games since moving from Bayern Munich in 2015, and has been regularly linked with a move away from Old Trafford as a result.

However, United supporters would like to see him impress for the club, and were delighted to have him back on the bench!
