Villanueva - We must beat Al Ahli if we are to stand a chance at the title

The Chilean emphasized the importance of the Al Ahli clash for Al Ittihad's title chances, and asserted that teams, not individuals win games

Al Ittihad’s Chilean forward Carlos Villanueva stated that all his teammates are ready for their crucial upcoming clash against Al Ahli in matchday 17 of Jameel League, clarifying that Al Ahli clash will be an important milestone for the team.

The 30 year old player stated: “The game against Al Ahli is important as we’re only 2 points behind them, and beating them will bring us closer to the leaders, Al Hilal, so that we will have a chance at the title.”

The Chilean concluded: “The absence of a single player whether in our team or theirs isn’t that significant for me, even if it’s a player like Al Somah or Kahraba, who are both exceptional players. But both teams have strong benches and the managers will not sacrifice stability by employing drastic changes.”
