Manchester City continued their relentless march at the top of the Premier League table, as they beat Huddersfield Town 2-1 while thier rivals, Manchester United kept in touch with with a 1-0 win over  Brighton to maintain an eight-point gap between the top two places.

Champions, Chelsea, fell three points behind United in third after a hard-fought draw at Anfield after Mohamed Salah's 10th goal of the campaign had given Liverpool the lead.
