Victor Osimhen revels in debut appearance for Wolfsburg

Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen reveled in his first appearance for Wolfsburg in their 1-1 draw against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday.

The former Golden Eaglets star who signed a three-year contract with Andries Jonker’s side in January, came off the bench to replace Daniel Didavi 14 minutes into the second half of the encounter at Volkswagen Arena.

Mario Gomez's second half goal cancelled out Jannik Vestergaard's 24th minute opener for Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Wolfsburg are 17th on the bundesliga table, two points above relegation and will play Hamburger SV in their last league fixture on May 20.

Osimhen who took to social media to share his excitement after making his debut, reiterated the Wolves’ commitment to keep fight for survival while praising the fans for their steadfast support.

“Thanks to God for my debut, not the result we wanted but we keep our fingers crossed and fight till the end," Osimhen wrote on Instagram.
