Tusker rekindle ambition to retain KPL title

Despite starting the season badly, Tusker head coach George Nsimbe is optimistic that his team will recover to defend the league title.

The Brewers lost their two initial games before bouncing back to win four of the seven latest matches. Nsimbe is happy with the way his players have managed to cope up with pressure and recover from a bad start.

"League is like a marathon, and we have to be consistent in order to ensure we finish on top of the table. I am happy with the way we have managed to get back to our winning ways, though we have not hit our best. It is all about concentration and ensuring we take our chances on the pitch.

"Yes, we want to defend our title; we are not far behind considering the number of matches played."

The 11-times league champions have a tricky match away to Zoo Kericho on Wednesday.
