Mamelodi Sundowns are set to part ways with Toni Silva as the player reportedly wants out.

The Guinea-Bissau international joined the Tshwane giants at the beginning of the season, but with game time hard to come by at Sundowns, it looks likely that he will be on his way out.

Bidvest Wits, Darren Keet

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp says the club is ready to sign Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Darren Keet during the current January 2019 transfer window.

This comes after Wits head coach Gavin Hunt disclosed that Amakhosi were keen to snap up the South Africa international at some point.

Former Kaizer Chiefs skipper Tefu Mashamaite has found a new home in the ABC Motsepe League.

The veteran defender has joined Baberwa FC, who appear to be very serious about winning promotion to the National First Division.

Orlando Pirates have announced that Gladwin Shitolo has left the club on a short-term loan deal.

The versatile defender has struggled with injuries this season having made only three appearances in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Chippa United have appointed Clinton Larsen as their new head coach with immediate effect. 

Larsen replaces Joel Masutha, who took over from Eric Tinkler towards the end of last year.

 MATLABA ON CHIEFS' RADAR? 


Thabo Matlaba, Orlando Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in snapping up Orlando Pirates full-back Thabo Matlaba.

The 31-year-old was an integral part of Pirates’ plans in recent years but has found game time difficult to come by with Milutin Sredojevic at the helm. This has seen Matlaba previously linked with several moves, although nothing materialised.

 BAROKA CEO JOINS CHIPPA 


Morgan Mammila

Following news that Baroka FC have parted ways with CEO Morgan Mammila, the Telkom Knockout Cup champions have confirmed the developments and that their former CEO has joined Chippa United.

Mammila has been with the Ga-Mphahlele side since their promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and now replaces Peter Kotroulis at the Chilli Boys.

FC PLATINUM SIGN CHIRAMBADARE

FC Platinum have snapped up former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Edmore Chirambadare ahead of their clash with Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates.

The Zimbabwean side will host Bucs in the 2018/19 Caf Champions League Group B match-day one encounter at the Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Saturday, January 12.

Cape Town City have announced the return of former SuperSport United defender Thato Mokeke.

The 28-year-old player becomes the Citizens' second signing of the January transfer window. The club recently acquired the services of Kermit Erasmus from Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.

Orlando Pirates starlet Lyle Foster has completed his long-awaited move to French giants AS Monaco. 

Foster signed a four-year deal with Monaco, who are currently placed in position 19 on the French Ligue 1 standings.

Jomo Cosmos have confirmed the departure of striker Charlton Mashumba as he returns to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to join Polokwane City on a three-year deal.

The Zimbabwean striker's future had been a subject of speculation in recent weeks as he was linked with a possible move to Chippa United, but Rise and Shine have won the race for his signature.

The club have explained that the decision to part ways with Larsen was by mutual consent.

Uganda international Emmanuel Okwi is reportedly close to joining Kaizer Chiefs from Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

The 26-year-old goalscorer is a highly-rated striker, who helped Simba clinch the 2017/18 Tanzanian Premier Soccer title.

Dynamos FC goalkeeper Simbarashe Chinani is said to be on the radar of Premer Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates.

The 22-year-old shot-stopper has established himself as one of the top keepers in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League (ZPSL) while turning out for the Glamour Boys.

Shaun Bartlett was a household name during his time as a player and after enjoying stints as a coach with the likes of Golden Arrows and the University of Pretoria, he has been brought in to work closely with the German mentor

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the appointment of Ernst Middendorp as the new head coach of the club.

He has signed a two and a half year deal with Amakhosi, and is familiar with the club having previously coached the team between the years 2005 and 2007.
