Gor Mahia coach, Dylan Kerr has been omitted from the 2017 Kenyan Premier League coach of the year nomination list released on Thursday.

Kerr steered Gor Mahia to the league title despite joining the champions in the second leg, in July 2017.

Despite the good performance, the Englishman failed to make the cut in the list that is headlined by Kariobangi Sharks’ William Muluya and Sam Ssimbwa of Sofapaka.

Other nominees for the top award are Kakamega Homeboyz's Mike Muiruri, Bernard Mwalala of Nzoia Sugar and Posta Rangers’ Sammy 'Pamzo' Omolo.

Ugandan Ssimbwa steered Sofapaka to a second place finish behind Gor Mahia while Muluya guided Kariobangi Sharks to third place in their KPL debut last season.
