Timely boost for Thika United as winger returns

Instrumental Thika United winger returns from Europe where he was attending trials

Thika United have been boosted with the return of their influential midfielder Joel Tata.

The Cameroonian player was in Europe for trails with a number of clubs and he is now back to the Brookside sponsored club ahead of the 2017 Kenyan Premier League commencement.

He joined Thika United in June 2016 from Nairobi City Stars and after six months, he had recorded two goals to his name, a performance which culminated to his call for trials abroad.

This is what he told the club’s official website on return from Europe, “Am quite happy with the trials, as all three clubs that i tried out in…the coaches were quite impressed and have promised to make contact once the window opens again in summer.

It was a bit complicated for me to get there (Europe) in time for registration as they only recruit a limited number of foreigners per team, but am double sure of securing a good deal in June.”

Thika United finished at position 12 with 34 points in 2016.
