Thika United announce gate charges for Tusker match

Tickets for VIP and terraces will be sold at a flat-rate when Thika Utd host Tusker on Sunday

Thika United will host defending champions Tusker at Thika Municipal Stadium on Sunday in the early kick-off battle of the day’s double header.

They have announced that every fan will have to pay Sh300 for a seat of their choice to watch the match with Big Brother ticketing firm being in charge of the sales.Gates will open at 9:00am and the branded ticket-selling vans will be stationed outside Chase Bank and at the roundabout near the Stadium.

Change of guard at Sofapaka ahead of 2017 action

Both teams were defeated in their league opening matches and are therefore going to the match with intentions of recording first victories.

Tusker assistant coach Francis Baraza has told Goal that his side is fully ready to bounce back from their 2-5 hiding at the hands of Nzoia Sugar last week and that they are confident of a win against Thika United.

"We have been training really well and the defence was our priority. We have worked on it this week and also strengthened some parts we felt were weak. The defeat is more than a motivation to us, we have learnt our lesson and want to do better this weekend.

"The return of Wanga (Allan), Mieno (Humphrey) and others is a big boost to us, they will really give us the much needed boost."

The match between Nakumatt and AFC Leopards will follow the Brewers’ match.
