Stade Gabesien's Moses Orkuma has implored Enyimba to go into their Caf Confederation Cup semi-final, first leg tie with their mindset on making Nigerians proud when they face Raja Casablanca on Wednesday at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.
The People’s Elephant defeated Rayon Sports 5-1 on aggregate to set up a date with Raja who equally sent packing CARA Brazzaville in the quarter-final.
He equally warned them not to be scared of their opponents and that they must also forget about where the game is being played to enable them to play with 100 per cent focus and mental alertness over the course of both games.
“I must admit that Raja are a good side but I also have strong faith in Enyimba that they won’t disappoint Nigerians who are eager for them to qualify for the final,” Orkuma told Goal.
“I believe it is the right time for them to go all out and make Nigerians proud of their performance. They should not expect any easy match at this period knowing that the higher they go the tougher it becomes.
“They should not be scared of Raja. They should also forget the venue where the game is played to enable them to concentrate on the assignment at hand. This is a very important moment for the players and they must not do anything that will hinder them from qualifying for the final.”
The former Lobi Stars defender also urged Enyimba to avoid making avoidable mistakes throughout the course of the 90 minutes.
“There is no how there won’t be mistakes in football but Enyimba must avoid the needless ones. This can be possible if the players are fully focused on the job at hand,” he continued.
“They want to see the game with Raja as one they must win well. They should also see the game as an important one to their future because some of the players that perform exceptionally well could be getting themselves a good contract at the end of the competition.”
