The experienced player was left to rue the Soweto giants' missed chances

Orlando Pirates captain Thabo Matlaba has reflected on the team's goalless draw against SuperSport United.

The two sides played to a goalless stalemate in a PSL match which was played at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.

The first half was dominated by United, while Bucs were the better side in the second half.

According to The Citizen, Matlaba stated that playing well doesn’t count much if you don’t score goals to win the match.

“We are playing well. Our problem is that we are not converting our chances. If you look at all the games we have played," he said.

"We had good spells of domination but it doesn’t count when you don’t convert," Matlaba continued.

The defender-come-midfielder and his Bucs team-mates will take on AmaZulu FC in a league match at the same venue on Saturday.

“We drew today, it is water under the bridge. We will take the positives of the second half and put it into the AmaZulu game," he concluded.

The Bucs have now recorded eight clean sheets in the league this season.
