TEAM NEWS: Firmino and Wijnaldum start Liverpool's tie with Wolves

The Reds have named a heavily altered first 11 with a strong bench to call upon if needed in the fourth-round clash at Anfield on Saturday afternoon

Jurgen Klopp has made nine changes to Liverpool’s starting XI for the FA Cup hosting of Wolves, with only Roberto Firmino and Loris Karius retained from the midweek defeat to Southampton. 

The Reds surrendered the opportunity of a Wembley date at Anfield on Wednesday, crashing out of the League Cup at the semi-final stage 2-0 on aggregate. 

Sturridge must speed past critics

They will want to progress in this tournament, but Klopp has a balancing act in terms of selection with a decisive league game against Chelsea lying in wait on Tuesday. 

To that end, he has named a heavily altered first 11 with a strong bench to call upon if needed.

Nathaniel Clyne is not included in the matchday squad as he nurses an abdominal issue, while Adam Lallana is not included after sustaining a cut against the Saints that needed stitches.
