TEAM NEWS: Alexis on the bench while Ozil misses out as Arsenal take on Liverpool

Olivier Giroud will lead the line for the Gunners instead of the Chilean, while Dejan Lovren can only make the bench for the hosts

Alexis Sanchez has been named on the bench while Mesut Ozil misses out as Arsenal travel to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

Ozil, as reported by Goal on Friday , is currently battling with flu and is therefore absent for the Gunners, whereas Olivier Giroud has been preferred to Alexis in attack.

Dejan Lovren, meanwhile, has only managed to make Liverpool’s bench for Saturday’s hosting of Arsenal at Anfield having recovered from a knee injury.

Ragnar Klavan deputises for the Croatian alongside Joel Matip, with Lucas dropping to the bench.

It is the only change to the starting line-up following Monday’s 3-1 humiliation at Leicester City.
