The Ivorian midfielder, who was Man of the Match against the debutants, says he's happy with his side’s performance in the Ghalca G8 tournament

Asante Kotoko midfielder Iddris Sylla Mohammed says he was satisfied with the performance they exhibited against Eleven Wonders in the opening Group A game of the 2018 Ghalca G8 tournament at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Following a slow start in the opening 30 minutes, Obed Owusu gave the hosts the lead after Kwame Boahene was brought down in the box.

"We had a great performance against Eleven Wonders and want to continue in our next game against Dreams FC on Wednesday. We're really delighted with the scoreline," Sylla said.

"The expectations on me and the new players aren't new from the old players so we are doing the best to make the supporters happy. We want to help improve the performance so that we'll all appreciate the efforts against Wonders," he added.

Sylla also admitted that there is a slight difference between Ghana Premier League and Ivorian Ligue 1.

"There's no serious difference between Ghana and Ivory Coast. The only difference is how Ivorians possess valley for a long time unlike Ghana. Here, we kick and pass more often but I’m always proud of that because I'm learning a new style of football to my skills. I want to do my best to get the backing of the supporters so I will work on my passes.

Kotoko are using the Ghalca G8 as groundwork for the game against CARA in the preliminary round of the Caf Confederations Cup.
