GAME PREVIEW

It has been a decent start to the season and a decent transfer window for Swansea City.

The Swans suffered a 4-0 loss at home to Manchester United but have picked up four points on their travels, and dealt with the loss of Fernando Llorente to Tottenham by signing Wilfried Bony.

With Jordan Ayew and Tammy Abraham also among their striking options, Paul Clement's men should be able to deal with the Spaniard's departure.

In midfield, Bayern Munich starlet Renato Sanches is an intriguing, high-potential addition on loan, while Sam Clucas was a standout performer for Hull City last term.

At Newcastle United, there is less optimism.

Mikel Merino has class and Joselu netted on his debut, but the sense - given off by Rafa Benitez as much as anyone - is that the Magpies have not pushed on and made the most of the momentum built in their promotion-winning season in the transfer market.

The mood could change at both clubs, though, with an important win on Sunday.
