SuperSport United to begin search for Baxter's replacement at the end of the season

Matsatsantsa confirm that the search for a new coach will only begin at the end of the season

Stuart Baxter was officially unveiled as the new Bafana Bafana coach, and with the coach’s imminent departure now confirmed, SuperSport United will be forced to find a replacement for the 63-year-old.

However, Matsatsantsa maintain that they are yet to begin the search for a new coach and will be focusing on the remainder of the 2016/2017 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign before singling out any potential candidates.

Goal spoke to the Tshwane side’s media officer Brian Moshoeshoe, who stated that the club will only begin their search for Baxter’s successor after the final game of the season.  

“No, we haven’t begun the search,” Moshoeshoe told Goal.

“We will begin the search at the end of the season as we want to focus on our remaining games,” Moshoeshoe said.

Furthermore, reports have emanated in the past linking several high-profile coaches to the job.  

Former Orlando Pirates coach Ruud Krol has been rumoured to be one of the frontrunners for the positiion, but Moshoeshoe denied the claims.
