SuperSport United and Cape Town City set to battle for Kaizer Chiefs full-back Moleko

Kaizer Chiefs could lose Kgotso Moleko ahead of the upcoming season with two PSL teams already preparing bids for the defender's services, Goal can exclusively reveal.

According to a source close to the situation, both SuperSport United and Cape Town City have shown interest in Moleko.

The two clubs will however, have to dig deeper into their own pockets to land the 27-year-old full-back simply because he is still contracted to Amakhosi until June 2019.

Tim Sukazi confirmed earlier this year that several teams have made their intentions to sign Moleko known to Chiefs without revealing their names.

Now, Goal can confirm that Matsatsantsa and the Citizens are among the clubs very keen on Moleko, who hasn't been a regular since the arrival of Ramahlwe Mphahlele from Mamelodi Sundowns.

"It's true that he's a wanted man. Everyone is aware that he hasn't been playing, and already clubs are sniffing around. So far, I know there's SuperSport United and Cape Town City that I know of," the source told Goal

"But you must remember that he signed a new two-year deal in February. So, he will be costly," added the source.

Moleko has seven appearances under his belt this season, but it remains to be seen if he would be too keen to leave the Glamour Boys.
