The Owena Whales newly appointed gaffer has explained what the players must do if the team is to really get its bearing in the league

Coach Henry Abiodun has expressed his resolve to make Sunshine Stars great again if the players develop the mindset that they can get improved results than they are getting presently.

After a poor run of results, the Owena Whales secured a 2-1 victory over Yobe Stars to move out the relegation waters.

The Akure side are guests of Niger Tornadoes in their next Nigeria topflight encounter and the tactician feels the player must be aware of their responsibilities to the team to get more positive results.

“I am not new to Sunshine Stars because I have always been part and parcel of it even till now,” Abiodun told Goal.

“I am amazed when people call me and tell me congratulations. I am the present head of the Technical Committee Department of the club which makes me part of what is going on in the team.

“We are done with the result of our game with Yobe Desert Stars and we are focused on our next game with Niger Tornadoes.

"We have been talking to the players because we know that they must be in the right frame of minds to play games.

“They are responding positively. We have all our players available because as at the last count all our players have been cleared to play by the League Management Company.
