Sundowns set for Tanzanian friendlies

Mamelodi Sundowns will reportedly take on Tanzanian Premier League sides Simba and Young Africans in a set of friendlies

As reported in the week, Mamelodi Sundowns were planning a trip to Tanzania for a training camp in preparation for the second half of the season.

According to the latest reports the Caf Champions League holders have apparently confirmed two friendlies against two Tanzanian Premier League sides.

The friendlies are scheduled to take place on the first and third of February. The Pretoria-based outfit will face off against Simba Sports Club and Young Africans better known as Yanga.

The latest reports will stir controversy as Pitso Mosimane’s men were scheduled to take on MTN FAZ Super League champions Zanaco on the first of February.

Sundowns have been on a training camp in Rustenburg for the past week, and on Saturday played to 1-1 draw against Zimbabwean side FC Platinum in a practice match.

The defending PSL champs are set to resume their league campaign against Bloemfontein Celtic on 8 February.
