The fate of 'Mashemeji Derby' between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards will be known on Thursday.
Kenyan Premier League CEO Jack Oguda said that the body will meet on Thursday to decide whether to go on with the match or call it off altogether.
This is after the Sports Dispute Tribunal threw the ball back to KPL’s court with a ruling delivered by the tribunal chairman John Ohaga on Wednesday.
KPL had moved to the SDT to challenge an order by the Football Kenya Federation to have the derby postponed to allow Harambee Stars time to prepare for friendly matches against Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea.
STD threw out FKF’s argument that Bukhungu Stadium is unfit to host the match on security grounds before directing KPL to decide whether to proceed with the match or not.
“It is a good ruling and as KPL we will meet on Thursday to decide whether the derby is on or not,” KPL CEO Jack Oguda told Goal.
