South Korea caused Germany plenty of problems today, frustrating the European giants and then snatching a memorable victory at the death. Germany are shellshocked, there is scenes of disbelief on the field and an inquest will surely take place. It is a result that will send shockwaves across the World Cup.

GERMANY ARE OUT OF THE WORLD CUP! South Korea are also going home but two very late goals have eliminated the Low's side, who fail to get past the opening stage of a World Cup for the first time since 1938. For the fourth time in five World Cup tournaments, the defending champions exit the competition at the group stage.

FULL-TIME: SOUTH KOREA 2-0 GERMANY

90+9 mins: OVER! How many chances is Hummels going to have! He rises to get onto the end of another cross and heads over the bar. He will be set for a sleepness night on the plane back to Berlin.

90+8 mins: SAVE! Another fine save from Cho keeps Germany at bay once again as Brandt tries to get a late consolation.

90+6 mins: GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! It's over! Germany are out! South Korea lead 2-0! Germany are throwing everyone forward in an attempt to salvage something from the game and Son latches onto the end of a long punt forward from Ju, tucking into an empty net!

It's Neuer that sloppily gives the ball away and Ju's vision was sublime. There was no catching Son and there is no saving Germany now.

90+5 mins: OVER! Hummels has another sight of goal and heads towards the far post but his attempt loops over the bar.

90+4 mins: Germany need a miracle. They need to win and they have just a few minutes to get two goals.

90+2 mins: OFFSIDE!!! South Korea tuck the ball home but the flag is raised! It is not clear who the final touch came off though and VAR could decide the game!

GOOOOOOOAL!!!!! South Korea lead 1-0! Son's corner is flicked on at the near post by Jang but it takes a couple of deflections on the way through and the touch from Sule is decisive. The referee overturns his initial decision and Kim has a famous goal!

90+1 mins: Germany have SIX minutes of added time to try and find a winning goal that would send them through to the round of 16.

89 mins: Another chance on the break for South Korea, another opportunity wasted. They have been really poor with their final balls.

88 mins: SAVE! Kroos, the hero against Sweden, is trying to be the man of the moment again for Germany. He drills a low effort at goal from distance but Cho saves comfortably.

87 mins: WHAT A MISS! Ozil crosses delightfully into the area where Hummels has charged forward from the back to find room but his attempted header is poor and behind for a goal kick.

86 mins: South Korea do still present a threat on the break but they are wasting the opportunities they get, as the final balls have been lacking. They have a corner though as Sule deflects a cross behind.

84 mins: OVER! Germany are getting desperate as Ozil tees the ball across to Kroos just outside the area, who smashes a shot over the bar.

83 mins: Three of the last four defending champions at the World Cup have been knocked out in the group stages. Germany could be about to make that four of the last five.

81 mins: Less than ten minutes of normal time remaining in Kazan and Germany are on the verge of a premature exit. One goal will send them into the round of 16 ahead of Mexico.

79 mins: CHANCE! A superb cross from Kimmich almost catches the South Korea defence out but they just about manage to get the ball away.

SUB! South Korea make their final change, bringing on Ko for Hwang.

78 mins: WIDE! South Korea hit on the break and Son makes room for a shot, dragging an attempt past the wrong side of Neuer's left-hand post.

SUB! Another attacking change from Germany, who bring on Brandt for Hector.

76 mins: The play is being dominated by Germany currently, with South Korea putting men behind the ball to defend their lines. 

74 mins: Sweden are now three goals up against Mexico and Germany, despite losing to Mexico in their opening match, could advance to the knockout stages ahead of them. However, they need a winner for that to occur.

73 mins: Germany are looking so short of ideas. Cho in the South Korea net has only really had one big save to make, all the others have been fairly comfortable for him.

71 mins: Still plenty of time for Germany to find a saving grace and they showed against Sweden that all it takes is one chance. They need a hero and no one has stood out for Low's side in this match.

69 mins: SUB! South Korea make their second change of the game, bringing Moon off for Ju.

68 mins: SAVE! Another important save from Cho, as he clutches onto Gomez's header.

66 mins: Moon wastes a glorious chance for South Korea! He picks up the ball inside the penalty areas and turns Sule but delays taking the shot, allowing Hummels to recover and quell the danger.

65 mins: YELLOW! Son falls to the ground as he tries to force a way through Germany's defence and earns a yellow card for diving.

63 mins: SUB! Second change for Germany as Muller replaces future Bayern Munich team-mate Goretzka.

62 mins: More problems for Germany, as Sweden have doubled their lead against Mexico. A winning goal for the defending champions would change the picture though.

60 mins: An hour played in Kazan and there is still no signs of improvement from Germany. They look short of ideas and have offered very little in attack.

58 mins: SUB! Germany's turn to make a change and it is Gomez who takes to the field in an attack-minded move, taking the place of Khedira.

57 mins: Germany's defensive line continues to look exposed as South Korea hit on the break but Moon's pass is poor and Hummels mops up the danger.

56 mins: SUB! South Korea forced into a change as Koo hobbles off with an injury, replaced by Hwang.

55 mins: We have seen big nations struggle at the World Cup so far and Germany, like Argentina last night, need to find a way through. 

53 mins: Germany are banging on the door as Kim puts the ball behind for a corner at the near post, preventing Werner from tucking home close range.

51 mins: Germany are in big trouble! Sweden have taken the lead against Mexico and, as it stands, the defending champions are heading out.

50 mins: Germany have failed to lead at half-time in all of their three group games at the World Cup for the first time since 1986.

48 mins: YELLOW! Third yellow card of the game for Moon after he bundles Kroos to the ground.

47 mins: SAVE! A superb stop from Cho! A delightful cross is chipped into the area where Goretzka as plenty of room to rise above the defenders and head of goal but his attempt is kept out.

46 mins: KICK-OFF! Back underway in Kazan, where South Korea get the action restarted. No changes from either side at the break.

Germany, as it stands, are through as runners-up but a goal in either match could quickly change the situation. Low's side performed extremely well in the second half against Sweden and will hope for a similar performance here, while South Korea could become more attacking as the game progresses.

A very disappointing first half from Germany's perspective, who have offered very little. The defending champions have never failed to advance past the first stage of a World Cup but the situation is very precarious. South Korea will be the happier of the two sides and still have a chance to sneak into the kncokout stages.

45 mins: The game is crying out for someone to spark life into the match. Germany's stars are not performing, while South Korea look overly reliant on Son.

43 mins: POST! Werner smashes a shot against the post from just inside the area but Hector is penalised for a foul in the build-up.

41 mins: Edging closer to the interval and there is still no sign of an opening goal. You have to wonder how Germany would react if Sweden took the lead against Mexico.

39 mins: SAVE! The ball finds Hummels following a corner and the Bayern Munich man shows good feet to find room but his effort from close range is saved by Cho.

38 mins: South Korea would be delighted to keep it goalless heading into half-time, where they may then elect to be more attacking in the second half as they aim to squeeze into the round of 16.

36 mins: South Korea are conceding a number of fouls after clumsy challenges, which is dangerous after we saw what Kroos can do in the last game against Sweden.

34 mins: You would expect to see a reaction from Germany given their struggles at the World Cup so far but there is no spark from Low's side. They are retaining possession but not doing much with it.

32 mins: Germany are growing increasingly frustrated as they fail to break down South Korea's organised defensive line.

30 mins: Half an hour gone in Kazan and it is South Korea who have had the better opportunities so far in the game, with Germany struggling to create chances.

21 mins: Germany certainly do not look comfortable and their performance, much like it was against Mexico, is looking rather laboured. An early goal would settle the nerves but there is no sign of a breakthrough.

19 mins: SAVE! Jung fires a free-kick at goal and Neuer fumbles the ball on the line, before diving to punch the ball away before Son could bundle home.

17 mins: South Korea will be happy with their start to the game as they have managed to keep Germany contained so far.

15 mins: A fairly sudbued atmosphere in the stadium and it will be interesting to see how the crowd react if there is a goal in the other game. If Sweden were to take the lead, I am sure it would not take too long for the Germany players to find out.

13 mins: Germany break after stealing the ball and Goretzka tries to cut the ball across the face of goal but it is put behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

11 mins: Germany earn a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right, which Kroos curls into the middle but it is easily headed away.

9 mins: YELLOW! A poor challenge from Jung on Hector earns the South Korea man an early yellow card and it means he will miss the round of 16 game, should they qualify.

7 mins: Germany are not having it all their own way in the opening exchanges and South Korea are looking fairly dangerous when they push forward. We still await the game's first chance.

5 mins: Germany moving the ball quickly when they pick up possession to try and find room, though South Korea are remaining firm defensively.

3 mins: A bright start from South Korea, who are moving the ball around well and putting Germany under pressure why they do not have the ball.

Germany's situation is slightly less complicated, as the defending champions will advance through to the round of 16 if they beat South Korea unless Sweden better their result, in which case Joachim Low's side would be going home early - and it could come down to goal difference or head-to-head record if both games end with a draw.

South Korea have lost both of their matches at the World Cup so far but they do still have a chance of qualifying for the round of 16. For that to happen, they will have to beat Germany and hope Sweden lose to Mexico. It will then come down to goal difference and South Korea currently have -2.
