Soon to be Orlando Pirates player Kudakwashe Mahachi ruled out for rest of the season

Abafana Bes'thende will miss the attacking midfielder, who is one of their key players

Golden Arrows midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi will not partake in any of the remaining games this season.

Abafaba Besthente crashed out of the Nedbank Cup after losing 3-0 to Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium last Sunday.

The Zimbabwean winger twisted his right ankle during the game against Chiefs.

Mahachi confirmed to FARPost: “I’m out for the rest of the season, but I think I will be fit by the start of next season."

The 24-year-old arrived in South Africa with huge expectations three seasons ago, but he failed to make a telling contribution at Mamelodi Sundowns.

He has played 22 matches for Abafana Bes’thende this season and scored five goals.

Mahachi has spent the last few seasons out on loan at Arrows from Sundowns.

However, Mahachi will not return to the Durban club or Sundowns at the end of the season.

He has confirmed that Pirates and Sundowns reached an agreement which will see him join Bucs come next season.

At Downs the player managed to score one goal in 14 appearances, before he was loaned out at Arrows.
