Sofapaka injury updates ahead of K.Sharks match

The Batoto ba Mungu have been boosted with the recovery of three players prior to Kariobangi Sharks match

Sofapaka have released information about their injury status ahead of their league match against Kariobangi Sharks slated for Saturday at Narok County Stadium.

Three players, who were doubtful, have responded well to medication and will be available for selection on Saturday according to a statement on the club’s web-portal.

Top defender George Maelo, who was on bench against Chemelil Sugar last week, is now ready for full action having tested his stability in a friendly match played on Wednesday against National Super League side Wazito FC.

Charles Pilipili and Ezekiel Okare have all recovered ahead of the tie which head coach Sam Ssimbwa approaches with caution.

“I have cautioned my players against underrating them. This league is very competitive and for a team like Sharks, who earned promotion just the other day to collect nine points on the trot, means they should be handled with care. We must play as a unit, defend together and attack together,” Ssimbwa told Goal.

Midfielder Moses ‘Dube’ Odhiambo is, however, still out with injury.
