Simba to take further action on Yondani

Simba have announced that they will go further forward to ensure that Yanga’s skipper Kelvin Yondani gets the necessary punishment after being captured on camera spitting in the direction of Ghanaian Asante Kwasi’s face during the Dar es Salaam derby.

Simba won 1-0 and edged closer to the title, thanks to the first half goal from defender Erasto Nyoni who headed in a Shiza Kichuya free kick in the 37th minute.

Yondani’s incident occurred in the first half and went unnoticed by referee Emmanuel Mwandembwa and he escaped punishment.

Speaking to Goal, Simba spokesman Hajji Manara said that he has a lot of respect for Yondani as a senior defender in the country but this incident is unacceptable.

Manara added that the club is still waiting to hear the decision of the disciplinary committee and if they are not satisfied they will going further forward.

“I am very disappointed by Yondani, such a senior defender in the country cannot act like that, we will wait for the discipline committee, if we are not pleased we will going further forward, said Manara.
