The Congo international scored twice to help the Purple and White to a share of spoils against his former club

Silvere M'boussy got a brace in Anderlecht’s 2-2 stalemate with KV Mechelen in Sunday’s Belgian First Division A clash at Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

The forward joined the reigning Belgian champions from the AFAS-stadion Achter de Kazerne outfit in the summer on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring just ten minutes into the game after an assist from Ryota Morioka.

However, the goal was shortlived as Burkina Faso’s Boureima Bande put his side at par five minutes later.

And in the 22nd minute, Uros Spajic turned the ball into his net as Dennis Van Wijk’s charges went into the break with a 2-1 lead.

M'boussy completed his brace in the 57th minute after an assist from Olivier Deschacht as he helped Purple and White secure their seventh top-flight draw this term.

The draw saw Anderlecht drop to the third spot with 46 points from 25 outings and will be hoping to improve on this performance when they clash with KV Oostende in their next league game on February 10.
