The hosts are outsiders for the weekend's contest but we think they have enough firepower to cause the European champions problems in the final third

Portugal face Serbia on Sunday morning in Group B of qualifying for Euro 2020, with Fernando Santos' side still looking for their first win. The European champions have drawn both of their opening two matches while their Balkan opponents have played three games so far recording one win, one draw and one defeat. Having picked up a point in a 1-1 draw in Lisbon when the sides met back in March, Serbia will be hopefully of claiming another positive result this weekend.

Latest odds

These two nations faced each in qualifying for Euro 2016 with Portugal recording a 2-1 win on their last visit to Belgrade in 2015. Another victory for the visitors is offered at 2.10 with Sportsbet, while a Serbian success is available at 3.30 and the draw at 3.10.

Serbia vs Portugal Team News

There are plenty of big names in the Portugal squad with Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix and Manchester City's Bernardo Silva joining Cristiano Ronaldo. There is no place however for the likes of Andre Gomes, Andre Silva and Nani, while centre-back Pepe has been ruled out through injury. Serbia have no significant injuries ahead of the game.

Serbia vs Portugal Preview

Serbia suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat at Ukraine back in June, but bounced back from that result with a 4-1 win against Lithuania. The Serbians have an excellent scoring record in competitive matches having netted in 22 of their last 25 competitive games and in the five matches they have contested against Portugal they have always found the back of the net. In their previous qualifying campaign for last summer's World Cup, Portugal kept four clean sheets out of five on the road, but those shutouts came against Latvia, Faroe Islands, Hungary and Andorra. Against the only side of any quality Switzerland, they conceded twice and this Serbia team boasts enough firepower to trouble the Portuguese defence. Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic and Real Madrid's Luka Jovic both got on the scoresheet in Serbia's last game, with Ajax's Dusan Tadic providing assists and this weekend Serbia should at the very least find the back of the net against Portugal.

Tips and predictions
