Senegal’s Amara Baby leads Sporting Charleroi past Anderlecht

The 28-year-old got the curtain raiser as the Zebras handed the Purple and White their first defeat of the season

Amara Baby was on target as Sporting Charleroi breezed past Anderlecht 2-0 in a Belgian top flight game on Sunday.

Baby began the game on a low key when he was cautioned by the referee but he turned to be the hero for Felice Mazzu’s men.

Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru replaced Dennis Appiah in the 62nd minute but he could not help his team from losing their first match of the season.

Baby’s Charleroi are second in the league – though on goals difference, and they face Genk in their next outing.
