Sarawak moved to signed Milos Raickovic to shore up the midfield for the second half of the 2017 season.

Sarawak has replaced the services of Mark Hartmann with Milos Raickovic as they go in search of improving their fortunes in the Super League as well as providing a challenge in the Malaysia Cup.

Raickovic, a midfielder from Montenegro moved from Buducnost Podgorica to Sarawak, having been with the PRVA Crnogorska Liga club since 2013. Raickovic had played 28 times for Podgorica in 2017 as Sarawak's coach David Usop looks to shore up his midfield with his signing.

One player's gain turns out to be the loss for another as Hartmann heads out of the team after only half a season with the Crocs. During that short period, the Philippines international has scored seven goals for Sarawak - three in the league and another four in their FA Cup run.

Usop's team only qualified for the Malaysia Cup by virtue of being the 11th out of 12 teams in the Super League. With only two league wins all season, they are facing an uphill battle to maintain their top tier status for another season.

The Crocs managed to hold Selangor to a 1-1 draw in their last league fixture. Raickovic will have a chance to get Sarawak's campaign going when his new team takes on Perak on Wednesday, in the final competitive fixture before the season takes a break due to the Ramadhan fasting month.
