Sammy Omollo mourns defeat to Gor Mahia as Posta Rangers turn focus to KPL

Posta Rangers came into Wednesday's FKF Shield match against Gor Mahia as favourites, but ended pulling three goals from their own net.

The mailmen had a great chance to go ahead, but bluffed the chance only to concede what turned out to be a game-changing goal.

Head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has bemoaned the wasted chances that saw his side get eliminated from the competition, which acts as a shorter route to the Caf Confederation Cup

"We started the match well, had our chance but did not take them up.

"We let Gor Mahia control the midfield. You cannot allow them to do that! They will certainly punish you and that is exactly what they did. I am not happy with the outcome. We were punished for our mistakes.

"Now we have to turn our attention to the league, give our best and ensure we finish in a respectable position."

After 22 games, Rangers are placed 11th with 28 points.
