RUMOURS: Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to battle it out for Chelsea's Costa

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are poised to battle it out for Chelsea's Diego Costa, according to the Independent .

The Blaugrana are monitoring Costa's situation at Chelsea, with the striker having been left out of the Blues' squad to face Leicester City on Saturday after a dispute with manager Antonio Conte .

And Atletico, who tried to sign Costa last summer before eventually landing Kevin Gameiro, are likely to move for Costa as a replacement for Manchester United-bound Antoine Griezmann.

The report claims Atletico are resigned to losing Griezmann for a fee of around £100 million at the end of the current season.
