The Sky Blue Stars gaffer said grabbing their maiden victory with their supporters present will be a great way to get their season back on track

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has said that his side are targeting their first Nigeria Professional Football League win in front of their fans.

The Sky Blue Stars, placed bottom of the topflight log, face Abia Warriors at the Sagamu International Stadium on Sunday. And are keen on getting off the mark after being unlucky in their first two matches against Plateau United and Gombe United, situations Ogunmodede blamed their 'inexperience’.

The former Crown FC handler said rewarding their loyal fans with their maiden victory in the elite league is what they aim for when they take to the field against Abdullahi Biffo’s men.

“Our plan is to get our acts back. Get back to winning ways; doing everything humanly possible to get our first home win which would be the first in front of our fans,” Ogunmodede told Goal.

He, however, stated disappointment at the current position they currently find themselves. Stating it is not a true reflection of their preseason preparation.

“We are feeling disappointed at the moment. We are meant to be, at least, in the fifth to 12th position on the table with our preseason preparation but things are not going well now.

“So, we felt disappointed because of the way we had prepared for the season.”
