Rasheedat Ajibade tops Nigeria squad for U20 Women’s World Cup

FC Robo’s Rasheedat Ajibade tops Nigeria's final squad for the 2018 U20 Women’s World Cup billed for France.

The 18-year-old striker who was impressive in the Falconets’ African qualifier, finishing as joint-topscorer with 10 goals topped the 21-woman team by coach Christopher Danjuma.

The Falconets squad composed of three goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and five strikers, will aim to secure their first ever World Cup glory in their ninth appearance this year.

Anam Imo, Glory Ogbonna, Bashirat Amoo, Gift Monday and captain Oluwakemi Famuditi also made the cut for the women youth championship billed to hold between August 5-24, 2018.

Danjuma’s ladies will face Germany, China and debutants Haiti in Group D in the preliminary stages and will battle Maren Meinert’s ladies in their opener at the Saint Malo Stadium on August 6.
