Betting: Alexis Sanchez 4/1 to snub Bayern Munich and reunite with Guardiola at Man City

While Arsene Wenger may be about to sign a new contract at Arsenal, one man whose future at the Emirates looks to be coming to an end is Alexis Sanchez, who has cut an increasingly frustrated figure as the season wore on.

The Chile international scored 24 times in the Premier League this season and those kind of statistics combined with the Gunners' failure to qualify for the Champions League mean Sanchez looks a prime candidate for a summer transfer.

Paddy Power have a market available on where the forward will be playing his football at the end of the summer transfer window and Bayern Munich are currently in pole position according to the odds compilers, priced at 8/15 (1.53) .

The Bundesliga champions seem keen to take Sanchez to the Allianz Arena and of course, Wenger would prefer for his star man to be playing his football outside of the Premier League if he's to leave Arsenal.

Second in the betting though, come Manchester City, who are rated as 4/1 (5.0)   chances to land what would be another significant summer signing, having already secured a deal for Bernardo Silva as well as closing in on Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.

As per Goal's recent report, Txiki Begiristain was in London last week to discuss the opportunity of bringing Sanchez to Manchester.

Although Bayern are still the preferred bidder for the Gunners, the lure of working with Pep Guardiola - his former boss at Barcelona - is seen as a key potential factor in any decision and City feel they are still very much in the running, especially with the financial power they hold if it comes down to mere buying power in terms of the players' wages.

While Bayern hold plenty of prestige at the top tier of European football, the odds look stacked heavily in favour of Guardiola landing his man if it comes down to a straight battle between the German giants and Manchester City in terms of financial muscle.

Chelsea are 11/2 (6.50) to secure Sanchez's signature, although the London club have not been quite so brash with their transfer spending in recent years.

Their qualification for the Champions League will surely give Antonio Conte plenty of funds to invest in his squad, though they could cool their interest if a bidding war emerged between the leading two contenders at the front of the market.

Juventus are listed as 12/1 (13.0)   chances in the same market with PSG listed as 16/1 (17.0) . A move back to Barcelona is 22/1 (23.0) and Sanchez is 25/1 (26.0) with Paddy Power to follow the likes of Oscar to China this summer, although recent news stories regarding the restriction of lavish spending on foreign players could curb any such move, as is seemingly the case with Chelsea's Diego Costa.

Manchester City are already 2/1 (3.0) favourites for the title amid what looks to be a massive summer spending spree and that price could get even shorter in the coming weeks if Guardiola lands what appear to be some high-profile targets to bolster to the ranks.
