Premier League 2018-19: Where and when to watch the matches in India

Goal brings you a TV guide to the new Premier League season with complete fixtures for the opening game-week....

The new season of the Premier League is upon us as club football returns after a summer dominated by the World Cup in Russia.

For the very first time in history, the Premier League’s transfer window will shut before the first match of the 2018-19 season kicks off as clubs scramble to get their signing in place.

Last year’s runners-up Manchester United will kick-off the new Premier League season as they play host to Leicester City at Old Trafford in a Friday fixture.

Defending champions Manchester City will begin their title defence at the Emirates against Arsenal on Sunday in what is the headline match of the opening game-week.

The upcoming season sees the influx of new managers in two of the biggest clubs in England – Chelsea and Arsenal. Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea will open their campaign away to Huddersfield on Saturday while Unai Emery has an extremely tough opening fixture at home to Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham will come up against Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp and his revamped Liverpool side will take on West Ham United in their opening fixture.

The three newly promoted sides this season are Cardiff City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.

In India, viewers can watch the Premier League on television on Star Sports Select 1 and 2 (also in HD) with online streaming available on their digital platform Hotstar.
