Mathare United confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper David Okello following the departure of Robert Mboya, raising questions about a possible double-signing.
The former Tusker man had signed a two-year-deal with Posta Rangers just days after he parted ways with the Brewers.
Okello, however, opted against playing for the mailmen after receiving a better offer from the Slum side.
Rangers Coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has come out to clarify the matter.
"Okello had signed a contract with us but had not signed the card-form. So when he told us he has a better offer from Mathare, we just let him go.
"It was an agreement between us and him so there is no case of double-signing.
"We could have loved to have him in our team, but again we could not force him."
The sudden change of heart by Okello now leaves Posta Rangers with only Patrick Matasi and Martin Musalia as the two top goalkeepers at the club.
