Portugal vs Poland Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Portugal secured their place in the inaugural final four of the UEFA Nations League with a 0-0 draw in Italy on Saturday night.

The performance in Milan by the European champions was far from their best, yet it was enough to secure them top spot in League A's Group Three as they look for more silverware under Fernando Santos.

Portugal's final group game is against an already relegated Poland side who have had a poor 2018.

Team news

Cristiano Ronaldo is not involved in the Portugal squad and the side badly missed his cutting edge against Italy. Bernardo Silva has also withdrawn from the squad due to injury.

Poland will have their star striker Robert Lewandowski available although the captain extended his international goalless streak to seven matches in Thursday's friendly defeat at home to Czech Republic.

Preview

The loss of Ronaldo was keenly felt by Portugal in Italy, although the side fielded had enough attacking talent to be able to cause the Azzurri some problems.

That said, Portugal have never been a prolific side in recent years and without their main goal threat in a game will nothing but pride riding on it, there is little to make us think that we will see goals in Guimaraes.

Portugal v Poland Betting Preview

Poland for their part have not found the back of the net in their last two matches and seem a long way off the side that qualified for the World Cup in such confident fashion. These two sides played out a five goal thriller earlier on in the tournament, but given the context of Tuesday's game, opposing goals has to be the angle.

Tips and predictions

Under 2.5 goals in the game is priced at 8/11 (1.73) and has paid out in five of Poland's last six games. However for higher odds, backing a goalless first half at 6/4 (2.50) could well appeal, with this selection paying out in four of Poland's last six matches.
