The Red Ants have been given the honour of playing in the Sultan of Selangor Cup for the second year running after making their first appearance in the competition last year.
In 2017 a PKNS side under the guidance of Sven Gartung played the Singapore selection at the Singapore National Stadium and came away with a 3-2 defeat.
This time around, the match will be played at Shah Alam Stadium on August 25, it represents a chance for PKNS to gain some form of revenge against their opponent.
"It's a big honour for us to represent Selangor. We will give our best to gift a victory to His Highness [Sultan of Selangor] and ensure that the trophy return to the Selangor people this year," said club president Siti Zubaidah on the club's official website.
The 2018 edition with be the 16th year that the competition is played and it is an annual one between Selangor and Singapore that was meant to recreate the rivalry between the two teams after Singapore's exit from Malaysian competition.
Selangor have won the competition 10 times while Singapore have managed to get the win on the other seven occasions.
